Sofia Margarita Vergara

Sofia Margarita Vergara (Spanish: Born on 10th July 1972) is a Colombian American actress TV producer, presenter, and model. Vergara was the highest paid actress on American television between 2013 to 2020.Vergara rose to prominence while hosting two TV shows for Spanish-language TV network Univision in the mid-90s. Chasing Papi (2003) was the first big acting performance for Vergara in English. She then appeared in Four Brothers (2005) and Tyler Perry's comedy films Meet the Browns (2008) and Madea Goes to Jail (2009), receiving an ALMA Award nomination for the second. In 2009, she started playing Gloria Delgado-Pritchett for the ABC comedy series Modern Family for which she was nominated for four Golden Globe Awards, four Primetime Emmy Awards, and eleven Screen Actors Guild Awards.Vergara was also featured in the movies The Smurfs (2011), New Year's Eve (2011), The Three Stooges (2012), Machete Kills (2013), Fading Gigolo (2013) Chef (2014) and Hot Pursuit (2015). Vergara also voiced the characters in animated movies Happy Feet Two (2011). Escape from Planet Earth (2013). and The Emoji Movie (2018). Vergara was also the highest-paid Hollywood actress in 2020[citation needed]. Vergara is a judge on America’s Got Talent since 2020. Vergara was born into a Roman Catholic family from Barranquilla. Vergara's mom Margarita Vergara was a homemaker and her father Julio Enrique Vergara Robayo was a cattle rancher. The five siblings of her and many of her friends used to call her "Toti". Vergara initially studied dentistry for three years at National University of Colombia, but she left just two years away from finishing her education to pursue modeling opportunities and show business.
