Rosario Isabel Dawson Bio

Rosario Isabel Dawson, born May 9, 1979] in America, is an American actress. In 1995 she made her debut in a feature film in the independent drama Kids. She has since starred in films such as He Got Game (1998) and Josie and the Pussycats (1901), Men in Black II (2006), Death Proof (2008), Seven Pounds (2008) and Percy Jackson and the Olympians (2010). Dawson is also a voice actor for work for Disney/Marvel, Warner Bros./DC Comics as well as ViacomCBS's Nickelodeon unit.For her role in Rent, Dawson won the Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture; for her performance in Top Five, she was nominated for the Critics' Choice Movie Award for the Best actress in a Comedy. Dawson was born in New York City on May 9 1979. Isabel Celeste is her mother and is of Afro-Cuban heritage. Isabel was just 16 when Rosario was born. Isabel was never married to Rosario's father, Patrick C. Harris. Rosario was a teenager when her mother married Greg Dawson (a construction worker). Through this marriage, Dawson has a half-brother, Clay, who is 4 years younger than her. Dawson is also well-known for her appearances in comic adaptations of books. These include Gail Sin City (2005), Sin City (2005), Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (2014), Claire Temple (2015-2018) and Diana Prince/Wonder woman on the DC Animated Movie Universe. She also voices Barbara Gordon/Batgirl on The Lego Batman Movie. The actress played Ahsoka Tano on the show's second season in 2020 , and will play the role in the Disney+ original series Ahsoka. She also has a recurring part in the Dwayne Johnson autobiographical comedy series Young Rock in 2021.
